Lets Go Running!

The New Forest Runners will get you off the line!

Each year we run a friendly fun training course aimed at complete beginners or those returning to running after a long absence to introduce them in to the club, although we accept new members at any time.

This is a opportunity to start running or get back to running as part of a novice group, and get trained by our coaches and leaders to improve your fitness.

We will never go too fast or too far for you. We will encourage you to run and enjoy it and if during the course our coaches feel that you have sufficient speed and stamina to run with the main club groups you will be moved up to a main club group that better suites your ability.

Suitable for those who want to just keep fit, lose a few pounds, reach your own goals or go for the marathon!

Good for the body and soul!

Our aim is to help prepare people who think they are non-runners/returner runners to complete a program of sessions going from  couch to 5 Mile. Commencing in Run/walk and building to 5 miles – culminating in participating in the clubs 5 mile race as your induction into the club.

The 2018 Novices Course starts 19th April 2018 at 7pm on Wilverley Plain, every Sunday morning at 9.30 am and every Thursday evening at 7pm culminating with integration in to the main club sessions on 12th July 2018.

We are accepting Signups for the course from 1st March 2018.

The course is open to everybody aged 18 years and over.

There is a fee of £30 for the course which will also act as your first years membership to the New Forest Runners.  If you are interested in joining us, or if you wish to know more please contact the novice coordinator via email  novices@newforestrunners.com
